Kidsgrove Victorian Weekend
On Saturday 30th November, Kidsgrove Town Council will be holding its annual Victorian Christmas Market at two venues. All business traders will be located in the Victoria Hall – stalls cost £20. All charity traders will be located at the Methodist Church on the Avenue – stalls cost £10. The event was outgrowing the Victoria Hall, but we hope to make this year even more successful. Hundreds of people attend making it one of the most well attended events of the year in Kidsgrove. We would like to encourage anyone to take up the offer of putting on a stall, be it for business or charity.
This event is educational for all of the family and will give you the opportunity to step back in time to imagine Kidsgrove in the Victorian era. Our food stalls will include Mince Pies and Mulled wine along with more contemporary refreshments served and prepared by volunteering local councillors. Many people dress up for the occasion in authentic period attire to enhance the Victorian ambiance. Children will also have the chance of visiting Father Christmas in his grotto.
This year we have an exciting line up of entertainers with new and upcoming solo artist, Vanessa Bebbington performing ballads and up to date tracks. The children and staff of the Tamil School of Stoke-on-Trent will be on stage dancing to cultural music in traditional Tamil dress. Kidsgrove community Choir and St Thomas’ Primary School students will be doing their usual stint of Christmas classics and carols.
We have 4 business stalls left at the Victoria Hall and 10 Charity stalls left at the Methodist Church. For booking forms click below, complete and email to: kidsgrovetc@btconnect.com
