ICL Kidsgrove Wins Big Funding Boost

ICL KidsgroveA business based on Cedar Avenue in Kidsgrove is to create 5 high quality local jobs after winning a funding project.  Company Director of ICL Kidsgrove Mr Kevin Jones and his dedicated team entered Birmingham City Council and The West Midlands Regional Growth Fund, Green Bridge Supply Chain Competition and came out on top.  The funding amounts to over £150,000. 

The projects aim is to reprocess and re-use IT equipment, significantly extending product life cycles.  The re-used equipment is sold locally allowing low income families and groups the chance to access affordable computing and on-line resources.  In partnership with local businesses and schools, low cost ICT suites have been supplied and installed for the benefit of the community. 

Local schools have also benefited from having a reliable partner for the repair and disposal of their end of life electronic equipment. 

Director Kevin Jones who also runs Manor PCs Ltd in Scholar Green, Hanley and soon to be Trentham said: “I really care about Kidsgrove and I am working hard to bring jobs to our area.  Our business continues to thrive even in the toughest of times and I am very certain we have a positive future.  We want to play a big role in the Kidsgrove community because we believe, like everyone else that Kidsgrove has so much potential.”
